Working with organizations and individuals to effect change in local and state legislatures . Providing analysis on upcoming legislation or existing law that affects clients’ work. Helping candidates start and run campaigns.
These are just three aspects of what government relations can entail. Zach can help you or your organization to navigate the legislative process and interact with key stakeholders who can help achieve your goals.
During the Tennessee State Legislative Session (typically January-April), Zach is available to help with legislative tracking and advising on positioning. Before the session starts, he is available to help craft draft legislation. He can also help research issues pertaining to the Metropolitan Nashville Council or other county legislative bodies.
Thinking about running for office? Having an advisor who understands election law and can provide counsel on how your campaign can stay within the bounds of the law can relieve some stress. Further, providing legal support to your target demographics before and on Election Day can get those needed votes to secure a win. Zach has worked on campaigns–both state and local–advising on election law, voter protection, and economic policy matters. He enjoys strategizing across various aspects of an organization and working to produce clear explanations of the law for both field staff, candidates, and the general public.
If you or your organization need help understanding the law, drafting legislation, or running a campaign, schedule a meeting or call Zach at 615-852-5679.
